No longer will you have to travel all the way to New Orleans to get the tastiest of Muffuletta Sandwiches!


1 loaf (8- to 10-inch) round Italian bread
½ cup coarsely chopped large pitted kalamata olives
¾ cup each drained and coarsely chopped large pitted green olives and Italian mix giardiniera
2 tablespoons each capers and Sunny Select Extra Virgin Olive Oil
9 ounces Deli Meat (prosciutto, salami, bologna or mortadella)
1 large tomato, sliced
3 ounces each sliced Sunnyside Farms Provolone and Mozzarella Cheese


Serves: 8

Preheat oven to 350º. Slice loaf of bread lengthwise, starting approximately 1 inch from bottom of loaf. Remove bread from inside of each half, leaving about 1/2-inch border of bread on bottom and sides of each half. Place bread, cut side up, on rimmed baking pan and bake 5 minutes.

In medium bowl, toss olives, giardiniera mix, capers and oil. Layer bottom half of bread with meats, olive mixture, tomato and cheeses; close sandwich. Cut into 8 pieces and serve.
