We're big fans of sweet deals at Lucky. In fact, we've built our business on it. But today, we've got one for you we're really excited about. For a limited time, we're carrying Driscoll's Season's Finest Blackberries, which are specially selected for exceptional sweetness and quality.
These available exclusively at Lucky, and we're only carrying them from April 17 - May 8, or until supplies last.
Perhaps you're wondering, "What's so special about these blackberries?"
The Season's Finest blackberries grow in Central Mexico and are selected to exceed Driscoll's unrivaled standards for flavor. At certain times of the year, nature provides ideal conditions for growing berries with exquisite taste and appearance.
The sweetness of fruit is measured using degrees Brix, which measures sugar content. Driscoll's blackberries need to contain a minimum of seven degrees to meet their quality standards. Season's Finest Blackberries, however, require a minimum of 13 degrees Brix, with many coming in at 15!
Sure, it’s a geeky calculation, but the folks at Driscoll’s take their berries seriously. Once you try one this will all make sense.
