Cherry Turnovers [Yields 8 servings]

2 cups cherries, halved and pitted
1 can butter biscuits
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp butter, melted  

Separate biscuit dough into 8 equal parts and roll flat. Place dough crusts on a greased baking sheet and spoon sugar and cherries onto each. Fold each turnover in half (making a half moon shape) and seal by pressing the tips of the dough together with a fork. Brush with melted butter and cook according to biscuit instructions.
