Save Mart and Lucky Stores Delight Shoppers with Exclusive Locally Grown Heirloom Pumpkins for Seasonal Recipes and Festive Decor

MODESTO, Calif. – October 5, 2022 – In time for fall, Save Mart and Lucky grocery stores throughout California and Northern Nevada are debuting beautifully unique heirloom pumpkins.  Grown locally in Manteca, Calif. and exclusively for Save Mart and Lucky stores by area farm, Van Groningen & Sons, Inc., the heirloom pumpkins can be used in a variety of seasonal dishes and home décor.

“We are thrilled to exclusively partner with local farm, Van Groningen & Sons, to bring distinctly different heirloom pumpkins straight from the nearby fields to our Save Mart and Lucky customers this time of year,” said Donovan Ford, senior vice president, store operations for The Save Mart Companies.

The locally grown heirloom pumpkins come in a variety of sizes, colors, and shapes. For something out-of-the-ordinary and fitting with Halloween, the farm has cultivated various eye-catching heirloom varieties along with the classics. Images are available here.
